Tsunami Martial Arts Center: Medals at the BJJ Tournament at the RMK Academy of Martial Arts

Athletes from the Tsunami Martial Arts Center competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the RMK Academy of Martial Arts. On March 7, 2026, Gi division competitions were held among adult athletes. Two of our athletes reached the podium, giving serious competition to very experienced competitors in the 35+ category. This once again demonstrates the high level of preparation of our athletes, who are only 14–16 years old. We are confident they have a bright future ahead on major stages. March 7 results (adults, Gi): • Pavel Vyalkikh — 2nd place (silver) • Artyom Zakharov — 3rd place (bronze) On March 8, 2026, the second day of the tournament took place for juniors, boys, and children. Tsunami athletes shone on the mats once again. On February 22, 2026, the ISUMA Martial Arts Festival took place in Polevskoy. As part of the event, the Sverdlovsk Region KUBO Championship and Junior Championship (Classical Universal Wrestling) were held. The festival brought together athletes from five clubs of the Sverdlovsk region and became a major sporting event where participants demonstrated strong preparation, character, and fighting spirit. KUBO Championship in Polevskoy

On January 18, the KUBO Championship in Polevskoy was held. More than 50 athletes from Polevskoy and Pervouralsk participated in the competition. Athletes from 6 years old competed in the disciplines of KUBO Wrestling and KUBO Biathlon. The competition was held in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and mutual respect. Young athletes demonstrated a high level of preparation and will to win. Such events contribute to the popularization of KUBO among the younger generation and strengthen ties between sports clubs in the region.

Kenjutsu Seminar within SUMA

From January 5 to 11, within the framework of the Union of Martial Arts Schools SUMA, a Kenjutsu seminar was held, aimed at in-depth study of techniques and principles of the discipline. The seminars were conducted by Dmitry Belyakov — 5th dan Kenjutsu, Ivanovo. The program included a step-by-step analysis of technical elements, combinations, work on accuracy, control, and conscious execution of techniques. The conducted seminars became an important contribution to the development of Kenjutsu within SUMA and confirmed the high level of preparation of participants, their commitment to discipline, quality, and constant improvement.

SUMA Training Camp in Sysert

From January 3 to 4, training camps were held in the city of Sysert under the auspices of the Union of Martial Arts Schools SUMA. The event became an important stage in the preparation of athletes and coaches at the beginning of the new academic and sports year. The camps were conducted by Nikolai Viktorovich Sofronov — 6th dan Aiki-bujutsu, member of the presidium of the Supreme Council of SUMA. Representatives from the cities of Aramil, Pervouralsk, and Polevskoy participated in the training camps. The camps were held in a working, disciplined, and simultaneously motivating atmosphere. Participants received valuable methodological recommendations and laid a solid foundation for further growth in mastery.

Joint Aikido Club Training in Revda

On the eve of the New Year, several Aikido clubs came together for a joint training session. At the invitation of the Aikido club of Revda, athletes put aside all their affairs and conducted an excellent training that became a true celebration of unity and mastery. Representatives from clubs in the cities of Pervouralsk, Polevskoy, and Revda participated in the event. Such meetings demonstrate the importance of inter-club cooperation and experience exchange. Joint training sessions like these allow athletes to learn many new and interesting things, exchange techniques, and significantly improve their level of preparation. This is an excellent example for all representatives of Aikido and other martial arts of how unity and mutual assistance contribute to the development of the entire community.
